Is “WWJD” Realistic?

Several years ago, the acronym WWJD became very popular.  The acronym stands for “What Would Jesus Do?”  Certain people made the acronym popular by marketing various types of items upon which they printed WWJD.  The question that I began to ask is this, “Is WWJD realistic?”  That is to say, “Is it realistic to expect people to honestly ask themselves what Jesus would do before following through with some type of act?”

God’s Authority is Expressed in the Scriptures

Many in the religious world think that God’s will is revealed in many ways other than through His written word, the Scriptures. Some people rely on what they feel God is telling them, or supposed visions from God. Others contend the Holy Spirit is still revealing God’s will in miraculous or mysterious ways, even telling them to teach and practice things contrary to what the Holy Spirit has revealed in the Scriptures.

“Have You Been Saved?”

Jesus said in the Great Commission: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mark 16:15-16). To be “saved” from sins means to have the “remission of sins” (Luke 24:47).
